FAQs
How many charger plates should I order?
Our glass charger plates are hired in multiples of ten rather than per plate. This is due to the way we clean, pack and store plates when they are not in use and to ensure plates are easy to count and safely transported. The quantities / sets will be indicated on your quote and or order confirmation. Typically guests hire at least what is needed to ensure all guests have a charger plate with the exception of young children. It is recommended you add a couple of spares to your order in case extra are needed on the day.
Do we need to wash the charger plates before returning?
No, you don't need to wash our charger plates before retuning. The glass and rattan charger plates are delicate and need to be hand washed so we prefer to manage the post event clean ourselves.
Do I need charger plates?
No, they are not essential, however most of our clients include them on their hire order. They make a place setting look extra special and so if the finishing touches matter to you, you might like to add them.
Do charger plates take up more space than a normal place setting?
Yes, most charger plates are 32-34cm in diameter so we recommend taking this into consideration when planning how many guests to seat per table. If you're unsure speak to the team about the specifics of your event and they will be able to advise.
Can we eat directly from the charger plates?
No, the plates are for decorative purposes only. You should always use a dinner plate on top of a decorative charger plate.
What happens if we break a plate?
This happens from time to time, it's part and parcel of hiring items. If a breakage was to occur during the hire period, we would invoice you for the full replacement charge to cover the loss, after the event.
