I'm Not Creative...

I hear this a lot from couples and it might be true, but designing in your head, or sketching ideas on paper isn't easy for everyone. I'm a visual person, I like to visualise ideas with concept boards and try concepts out ahead of the celebration. This could mean lots of sketching; designing a set-up on a design program like Canva; mocking up a whole tablescape or simply popping a pile of items together in a flat lay, to see if like how it looks.

Boho Dinner Party Styling for a 30th Birthday Party in Client's Garden, Colchester, Essex

For the last year I've offered my styling clients the opportunity to come to my prop store (it is a store and not a studio, (yet...) based on Festival Leisure Park in Essex. Pinterest and Instagram are great, but there is nothing like seeing pieces in real life; holding them and checking their dimensions etc.

I used to only offer this service clients that had already booked, but now I offer to potential clients who are thinking about booking. You can book a 30 min slot, come along with your stationery (or your Pinterest app ready on your phone). There's a clothed round table and a wooden trestle available for you to try out tablescapes using the props and decor in the store. We've got napkin samples, candles and even a few artificial flowers and greenery at hand, so you can mock up how your tables could look.

This service is fantastic for those couples who want a contemporary, stylish wedding or celebration, but whom maybe can't afford a stylist to work on their wedding. It allows you to get creative and work out which direction you want to take your wedding design in and I'll offer guidance and suggestions too. There is a small charge to cover cost of the visit, but if you go onto book, this is deducted from your final invoice, provided the minimum spend is reached.

So what are you waiting for? I'm currently booking appointments for w/c 6th October 2020. I've got some great new table centres and a huge collection of really beautiful high quality, hire items for decorating your venue in my styling collection. I'd love to share ideas with you on how you could use them to create a unique and beautiful wedding or celebration.
